This is a fossil tooth from ALBERTOSAURUS. Albertosaurus is a genus of tyrannosaurid dinosaur that lived in western North America during the Late Cretaceous Period, about 70 million years ago. The type species, Albertosaurus sarcophagus, was apparently restricted in range to the modern-day Canadian province of Alberta, after which the genus is named. As a tyrannosaurid, Albertosaurus was a bipedal predator with tiny, two-fingered hands and a massive head that had dozens of large, sharp teeth. Although relatively large for a therapod, Albertosaurus was much smaller than its more famous relative, Tyrannosaurus.

I guarantee this is a genuine dinosaur tooth. It measures .843 inches in length. The tooth comes with a nice glass topped display box and information card telling about the tooth. This is a great gift idea for a fossil lover!

We have a variety of dinosaur tooth fossils available so be sure to check out our other listings!
