This is a genuine fossil tooth from the extinct mackerel shark, Otodus obliquus. Included with the tooth is a nice color information card. This shark lived about 60 million years ago and had a pointed snout, nearly symmetrical tail, and a reputation for aggressiveness. It may have grown up to 30 feet long! THE TOOTH PICTURED IS AN EXAMPLE OF THE QUALITY AND SIZE OF THE TOOTH YOU WILL RECEIVE. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE THE ACTUAL TOOTH PICTURED, BUT A TOOTH OF SIMILAR OR BETTER QUALITY. This is a B grade tooth - the tooth you receive may have had repairs, may have a worn or missing tip, or may be missing other parts of the tooth. This tooth is between 3/4 to 1 inch in length. This genuine fossilized tooth is great for small gifts or for resale. It is a fun little reward for teachers to give out at school or sports programs. Kids love them! Please use with kids 6 years and older as the tooth may be a choking hazard for younger children. Some of them can also be quite sharp. We have other Otodus teeth in our store of different qualities, sizes, and quantities so check out our other items!
